At the freeway junction Munich North (Bavaria), a new windenergyplant for Stadtwerke München (Munich public utility company) has been built, visible from far away. The project is not only special because of its location in the immediate proximity of the Allianz Arena. The construction on the plateau of a disposal site is also full of challenges. The heterogeneous soil structure, as well as the further decomposition of the slag and the associated chemical processes are more specific than at other construction sites. The future settlement of the subsoil as well as the requirements for durability therefore necessitate a special foundation. We built this concrete base in close cooperation with the local planner and the wind turbine manufacturer Enercon. As a result, additional ring foundations were constructed as a substructure and fillable chambers were built on the main foundation for later control of the load distribution.
